It is easy to register to post on this site Axesrus Guitar Parts Axesrus supply a huge range of guitar parts, some of which I use. They often have special offers and rare items too. Pete Woodman Guitars Based on the Isle of Man, Pete build beautiful guitars, and is a great authority on the setting up and repair of resonator guitars. knock on wood Global Music Supplies. Based in Leeds, their shop is a cornucopia of wonderful music and instruments. Michael Messer Michael Messer is a great slide player and enthusiast. His website has lots of links, news, reviews and a brilliant forum! Burnley Blues Festival A yearly Blues Festival that takes place less than a dozen miles from where I live. History, musicians, instruments, everything you might want to know about slide/bottleneck/dobro playing and players Slide Guitar Web Ring A States based site, that has different tunings, playing info, and video teaching clips Planet Dobro A great site, with lists of artists, guitar builders, and all things to do with playing bottleneck and slide guitar The Gear page Another States based forum about guitars and stuff. Another one you have to register with, but some great views and discussions Angel Sound Ltd This shop is based less than five miles from me, and I often get spare parts there. They also often have "renovation projects" for sale, as well as bodies and necks. Early Blues Website A site devoted to early blues music, and a resource for blues music in general. It has a guestbook, and a listing for gigs and musicians, particularly in the North of England. Mustang Guitars This is a supplier of exclusively left-handed guitars, from the budget ones to the vintage rareties. I personally play right-handed, but I think that this site partly redresses the raw deal that left-handed players have. AllThingsMusic Comprehensive music directory, with listings, information, links, and more. Guitar Websites A web-based guitar resource. Lots of information, links, news, shops and much, much more IGS Guitar Seminars Forum This site is based in the States but the Forum has contributors from these shores too. Like many sites you have to register to post on the Forum, its is mainly good natured, but sometimes some strong opinions are voiced. IndyGuitarist This site is for people who want to hot-rod or upgrade amps and pedals. It includes the means to buy books and online information about upgrading amps and effects. States based Valve Junior.com A site dedicated to modding these little amps, and making them into wonderful things. An inspiration to those who like to hot-rod amps and great for communicationg with players across "the pond" Watford Valves Suppliers of mail order valves and speakers to upgrade current and vintage amps. Very helpful, they also have a forum to share views and are a good source of parts and advice to keep your valve amps running and singing. Jon Gomm An awesome and highly individual guitarist. He gets sounds out of an old Lowden and a few pedals, that you would not believe. Check him out and see him live!! Bluebell Audio Suppliers of valves, components and transformers for valve amps. Very helpful, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Top people! Birds and Moons, PRS Forum This is the site of PRS guitars. While most of their guitars are way beyond my spending power, the forum on this site is great. Full of stuff about amps, guitars (not just PRS) and as usual with the US based forums, is full of trenchant, humorous, and for Bronte Blues Club Bronte Blues Club put on gigs in a small village called Laycock near Keighley in Yorkshire. They put on big names on the blues circuit including international players. They also do a great job in promoting blues music in schools and to a wider audience. K Folk and Roots A guide to the folk and acoustic scene, with information about UK folk gigs, festivals and 100s of links. A top site and a great rsource for roots music and beyond. Richard Hawley idiosyncratic musician and songwriter, with a great sound and great taste in guitars too. Top forum on his site too.
